2 years in China

So it is now time for my stay in China to come to an end. Not a permanent end though... I don't think anyone who has made the leap to move to China can just cut ties and wave goodbye.
This place is like a maze with many corners to explore and it makes you want to explore more with every little spot that you venture into.
I didn't think I would be saying something like this 2 years ago though.

The move to China was rough and that is putting it mildly. It is a massive adjustment and is totally different from what you are used to no matter where you come from.
I look back at the first few months and all I can remember is being home sick and questioning myself for being here but now I must say... I love it.

Even though I love it here, it's time for me to take on the next adventure and this one might not be very easy but being in China has taught me a few things and helped me grow so lets see how it goes.

Yesterday my 2 lovely VIP students took me out for a nice day of nail painting, afternoon tea and the very popular hotpot as a goodbye. For those who don't know Hotpot is a Chinese cooking method/style that I would say is very similar to a fondue. It is usually a dish in the center of the table that has a simmering pot of soup that is kept simmering and while it is simmering you will add the ingredients that you have chosen.
It's very tasty and very spicy depending which style you go for. Definitely something very different and best to experience in China
